The Globe Foundation takes great joy in the announcement that former Vice President Al Gore has been jointly awarded this year’s Nobel Peace Prize.During the more than 6 years since his US Presidential candidacy, Al Gore has campaigned tirelessly in his mission to bring awareness of the impending severe environmental challenges that face the inhabitants of our world.
It is the opinion of many that in the 2000 US Presidential election, the world lost a President and gained a World Champion.
Al Gore was also the recipient of an academy award for his environmental documentary movie ‘An Inconvenient Truth’, a double achievement that is unlikely to ever be repeated.
We salute the former Vice President for his unwavering visionary mission.
